To ensure the targeted activities of both institutions, rational use of state budget funds, and to avoid double funding, the director of the Media Support Fund, Ruslanas Iržikevičius, and the chair of the Lithuanian Culture Council, Asta Pakarklytė, signed a cooperation agreement. Under this agreement, the organisations have agreed to share information on relevant applications and funded projects.
“We greatly appreciate the communication with the staff of the Culture Council, who kindly share their experience and best practices. This is very important for the newly established Fund. With the signing of the agreement, this wonderful partnership becomes a constructive collaboration that will not only facilitate the exchange of information and best practices, but will also allow for a better assessment of the broad and very active dynamics of the Lithuanian cultural community, strengthen the ties between the Culture Council and the Media Support Fund, and help to respond more effectively to the needs of the cultural media,” says Ruslanas Iržikevičius, Director of the Media Support Fund.

Asta Pakarklytė, Chair of the Lithuanian Council for Culture, emphasises: “The family of cultural institutions performing public administration functions continues to grow, and with this agreement, we officially welcome the Media Support Fund, although we have been communicating informally since the Fund’s inception. Once the agreement is signed, we will be able to exchange not only experience and practices, but also information on applications.”
