The meeting also included discussions on the situation of the Lithuanian media, problematic areas and achievements.
The guests shared their experiences, discussed opportunities for cooperation, joint projects, media management and ethical issues. The structure of the Fund and its operating principles made a particularly strong impression – minimal political interference in the distribution of funds and clear operating mechanisms.
The Norwegian media representatives emphasised that the Fund is well structured: it has a strong administrative structure and clearly defined funding rules and formulas. According to them, this provides a solid foundation for future activities and opens up excellent opportunities for cooperation with the Nordic countries both in Lithuania and beyond.
