“State, Culture, Media and Money” – a discussion organised by the Media Support Fund in cooperation with the Association of Cultural Periodicals at the Vilnius Book Fair.
The Media Support Fund invites you to a topical discussion entitled “State, Culture, Media and Money”, which will take place at the Vilnius Book Fair on 1 March at 3 p.m. (Conference Hall 5.5). The discussion will examine aspects of state funding for culture and the media that are of concern to the public, as well as the realities and expectations in this area.
Participants included experts from various fields: poet and publisher Gytis Norvilas, Mantas Tamošaitis, head of the Association of Cultural Periodicals, Dr. Donatas Večerskis, deputy director of the news portal 15min, Vaiva Žukienė, chair of the Media Support Fund Council, and Professor Audronė Nugaraitė. The discussion will be moderated by Ruslanas Iržikevičius, director of the Media Support Fund.
During the discussion, the Media Support Fund, together with the Social Innovation Institute, will present a study of Lithuanian cultural periodicals conducted in 2025. This study aims to identify the main challenges faced by the editorial offices of cultural periodicals in Lithuania.
